Christopher Sarkonak

Christopher is currently a high school physics teacher with 17 years of experience in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada and is working towards his Ph.D. in Education. He was the first Canadian selected for direct entry to CERN’s International High School Teacher Programme and works with the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in developing resources that focus on physics pedagogy. Christopher is passionate about student-centred education, having founded a STEM for Girls Week that has extended to a STEM Club that offers outreach to K-8 schools in the city, and worked with students to develop an assessment model that supports all learners.
