IDEC in Thailand: Liberating Learning& Living

This session begins with a short film exploring why Democratic Education matters deeply in Thailand and the wider Southeast Asian region—where education has long been shaped by hierarchy, compliance, and separation from life. From there, I will introduce Binsi as a living experiment of liberating learning, living, and love, where education is not a system but a shared way of being. The session will also reflect on why Sustainability and Democratic Education must be intertwined—not as parallel ideals, but as inseparable practices for cultivating agency, care, and collective responsibility in a time of ecological and social uncertainty.
